The workshop

Repair, don't replace

A heel has worn down, a sole is coming away, the zip on a boot has jammed. Those are repairs — not reasons to throw out a good pair of shoes.

What is possible depends on the shoe. So we look at your pair before we promise anything — and then tell you what is worth doing and what is not.

Services

What a shoe-repair workshop does

Not sure your repair is on the list? Give us a call — most questions take one sentence to answer.

01

New heels and heel tips

New heels and heel tips, worn-down edges straightened up.

02

Resoling

A new leather or rubber sole when the old one has worn through.

03

Protective soles

A thin protective sole on new shoes so the original lasts longer.

04

Seams and tears

Restitching open seams, closing tears and lifted edges.

05

Boot zips

Jammed or broken zips on boots and ankle boots.

06

Stretching and widening

Easing pressure points at the ball, instep or toes.

07

Eyelets, hooks and laces

Replacing torn-out eyelets, setting hooks, fitting new laces.

08

Leather care and refinishing

Cleaning, feeding, recolouring, polishing — until leather looks like leather again.

09

Bags, belts and straps

on request

Small leather repairs to bags, belts and straps.

10

Boot and shaft repairs

on request

Shafts, linings and edges — with boots, more is often worth doing than people expect.

What a single shoe needs, we can only see on the shoe. We discuss price and timing when you drop it off.

How it works

Three steps, no paperwork

01

Bring it in or call

Come to the workshop with the shoe — or call and describe what has happened.

02

We look and we talk

We look at the pair and tell you what is possible, what it costs and how long it takes.

03

Repair and collect

We agree when your pair will be ready as you hand it over. Then you collect it from the workshop.
